Introduction
  • The CCR-128 is a four axis robot arm with a
    gripper
  • It can move an object from one place to another
  • It is a model of an industrial robot arm which
    can be used for demonstration purposes
  • The motors transfer the motion by trigger belts
    to the axis with the pulses coming from the
    computer

Purpose
  • Our purpose is to design a robot arm that can be
    used in industry or in scientific laboratories.
  • Normal robot arms usually have 6 axis, however
    constructing it is extremely hard, so our robot
    arm is a starting project.

Development
  • Torque and weight calculations
  • Mechanical set-up of the arm
  • Gear and trigger belt systems
  • The computer programs for calculating and
    controlling
  • Setting up the electronic circuit
  • Interfacing the motor system to the PC

Conclusion
  • All of the steps are taken and tested, only the
    construction of the robot arm is remaining
  • The construction will finish before summer
  • Our mechanic is easy to draw, but hard to apply
    because our needs are not very easy to find
  • We need aluminum pieces, trigger belts and gears
    which will be custom made
