Do we really need to?

• Who cares who gets the glory?
• Is it just all about the numbers?
• Will members of cult groups be saved?
• What do your church members think about that?
• JW, Mormons, 7th Day Adventists, UPC
• Can we partner with other groups?
• Confusion cuts the root of missions zeal.

If we did not have the Bible . . . what would we
know about God?

• There is a Creator.
• Psalm 19.1-4a, Romans 118-20
• That we are sinners.
• Romans 214, 15
• That we need to restore the relationship with our
  Creator that our sin has destroyed

Every culture has invented some system of
religion

• Religion re-ligare
• Sacrifices initiated by men
• Only in Christianity do we have a relationship
  initiated by God
• The religions of man do not save anybody. John
  146, Acts 412
• Many have still not heard. Joshua 131
• Do we really need to?

Is Jesus the only Savior?

• Modern theology maintains three distinct answers,
  No! Yes, but . . . Yes, period!
• Pluralism
• Inclusivism
• Exclusivism

Pluralism - No!

• Every religion has equal value.
• Every road leads to the top of the mountain.
• Dr. John Hick and the missionary candidates in
  the Bible college
• All truth is Gods truth.
• As people have responded to natural revelation,
  they are saved by their sincere worship.
• The problem is that sincerity does not save
  anybody, either in architecture or chemistry.
• Also, if God could overlook sin, Christ died for
  nothing.

Inclusivism Yes, but . . . .

• All are saved by the merits of Christ, but they
  dont know it till death.
• A profession of faith in Christ is not necessary
  for salvation.
• They believe that the work of Christ is necessary
  for salvation ontologically but not
  epistemologically.
• Karl Rahners Anonymous Christian
• Christian salvation is possible through
  non-Christian religions.
• Christ spoke of an eternal separation between
  lost and saved people.
• What about Nicodemus, Cornelius, and Lydia.

Exclusivism Yes, period!

• This position is founded on two fundamental
  truths
• Jesus is the only Savior.
• Explicit faith in Him is the only door of
  salvation.
• The Biblical Basis for saying this
• Acts 412 John 316-18, 36 146 1 John 511,12

What is the Gospel?

• A message that teaches
• God is holy
• Man is sinful
• Jesus is the answer
• You must repent and be born again.

• It tells us who God is and what He is like (We
  cannot love Him if we do not know Him)

• The result we are guilty, filthy, powerless to
  change ourselves, and we deserve the wrath of God

• Recognition of specific sins
• Recognition of your sinful nature
• Recognition that sin is rebellion against a holy
  God
• Turn around and walk the opposite direction
