In most countries, motor vehicle traffic deaths
were the leading cause of injury death for this
age group in some countries, drowning led all
other causes of fatal injury for children.

With few exceptions, falls were the leading cause
of injury death among the elderly. Exceptions
include Puerto Rico, Argentina, S Africa and
Colombia where motor vehicle traffic deaths were
the leading cause.
