  • The goal is to communicate covertly in the
    presence of radar and yet have a relatively high
    data rate.
  • Radar emissions have a dirty spectrum that
    bleed outside the passband.
  • Covert communication signals ( or waveforms) are
    embedded in the radar back-scatter by means of a
    RF tag/transponder that lies within the
    illuminated area of the radar.
  • Three design approaches have been developed to
    advantageously generate the communication
    waveforms.
