The Truth about God

• In order to experience Gods healing and
  delivering power then we must meditate on and
  deliberately decide to believe the truth about
  our loving Heavenly Father

NLT Psalm 348 Taste and see that the LORD is
good. Oh, the joys of those who trust in him!

God is Omnipotent

• God is almighty and infinitely powerful

• God is the creator, Satan is the creature
• God and Satan are not at all coequals
• God is Holy, pure, and righteous
• Therefore the power of holiness, purity, and
  righteousness are infinitely greater than the
  power of evil
• NKJ Romans 1221 Do not be overcome by evil, but
  overcome evil with good.

God is Omnipotent (cont.)

• God is allowing evil to exist for a time so that
  men and angels can have the choice of which god
  they will serve and love

• The spread of evil is the result of men and
  angels choosing evil over good
• God, who ultimately holds all power and
  authority, will use it one day to instantly
  destroy all evil
• NKJ 2 Thessalonians 28 And then the lawless one
  will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with
  the breath of His mouth and destroy with the
  brightness of His coming.

God is Omniscient

• God knows and understands everything that was,
  is, and is to come

• He created us with a free will knowing we could
  choose to sin
• In His infinite wisdom He choose to draw us into
  a love relationship by taking the penalty of our
  sin upon Himself
• NLT 1 John 410 This is real love. It is not that
  we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his
  Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
• NKJ Romans 24b the goodness of God leads you to
  repentance...

God is Omniscient (cont.)

• This act reveals His true nature and intentions,
  thus overturning our doubts and fears about Him

• The cross was His love letter to us, a way of
  persuading us to become like Him in holiness and
  to live with Him forever in intimate fellowship
• NKJ John 1513 "Greater love has no one than
  this, than to lay down one's life for his
  friends.
• NLT 1 John 316a We know what real love is
  because Christ gave up his life for us.

God is Omnipresent

• God is always present everywhere simultaneously -
  you are never alone

• Practice acknowledging the presence of God in
  your life minute by minute
• Then when traumas and trials come you will
  respond from the confident awareness that the One
  that is for you is right there with you and in
  you
• NKJ Psalm 461b God is our refuge and strength, A
  very present help in trouble.

• Think of how differently you would respond to
  temptation if you were constantly aware of Gods
  presence as opposed to being immersed in your own
  private thoughts

• Immerse yourself in the presence of God and the
  things of God on a regular basis
• You will find as the song of old says - And the
  things of Earth will grow strangely dim, in the
  light of His glory and grace

God is Omnipresent (cont.)

• Remember, God is never closer to you than when He
  seems to not be there at all!

• NKJ Hebrews 135c For He Himself has said, "I
  will never leave you nor forsake you.
• NKJ Isaiah 431b "Fear not, for I have redeemed
  you I have called you by your name You are
  Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will
  be with you And through the rivers, they shall
  not overflow you. When you walk through the fire,
  you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame
  scorch you. 3a For I am the LORD your God, The
  Holy One of Israel, your Savior... 5a Fear not,
  for I am with you

God is Omnipresent (cont.)

• Do not let feelings dictate reality to you

• Instead listen to our God...
• NKJ Isaiah 5414 In righteousness you shall be
  established You shall be far from oppression,
  for you shall not fear And from terror, for it
  shall not come near you.
• NKJ 1 John 418a There is no fear in love but
  perfect love casts out fear,
• NKJ 1 John 416b God is love, and he who abides
  in love abides in God, and God in him.
• NLT Romans 55b For we know how dearly God loves
  us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to
  fill our hearts with his love.

God is Eternal

• God has always been and shall always be

• He existed before time began, God is the one that
  created time (if you live in a dimension that has
  no time then the moment you appear, you have
  always been there)
• God never changes therefore, His love for you
  never changes
• NKJ Malachi 36a "For I am the LORD, I do not
  change
• NKJ Hebrews 138 Jesus Christ is the same
  yesterday, today, and forever.

God is Love

• God does not merely love but rather He is pure,
  perfect, flawless love Himself

• He is love that is unwavering in the face of sin
• Love that poured out itself on the cross in order
  to rescue the object of its passionate affection
  - YOU
• Gods love can not be purchased, earned, or lost
• Gods love can only be received as it is the gift
  of Himself

God is Love (cont.)

• NKJ Romans 835 Who shall separate us from the
  love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress,
  or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or
  peril, or sword?

• NKJ Romans 838 For I am persuaded that neither
  death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor
  powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39
  nor height nor depth, nor any other created
  thing, shall be able to separate us from the love
  of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God is Lowly

• God is gentle and humble in heart and that makes
  Him approachable

• God has a servants heart
• He is the lamb of God who kneels to wash our feet
• NKJ Matthew 1128 "Come to Me, all you who labor
  and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29
  "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I
  am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find
  rest for your souls.

God is Perfect

• God is innocent of all charges that have been
  laid against Him

• These false charges are whispered into our minds
  and hearts by Satan during times of trial and
  trauma
• God is incapable of error, nothing He does is
  ever a mistake - including making YOU
• NKJ 2 Samuel 2231 As for God, His way is
  perfect The word of the LORD is proven He is a
  shield to all who trust in Him.

God Guides Us

• We may not know where we are going but we can
  know who we are following

• We can trust God, He will direct us in ways that
  are consistent with His character
• God never contradicts His declared will
• God can not lie
• NKJ Titus 12 in hope of eternal life which God,
  who cannot lie, promised before time began,

• NKJ Proverbs 2024 A man's steps are of the LORD
  How then can a man understand his own way?

• NKJ Jeremiah 1023 O LORD, I know the way of man
  is not in himself It is not in man who walks to
  direct his own steps.
• NKJ Proverbs 35 Trust in the LORD with all your
  heart, And lean not on your own understanding 6
  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall
  direct your paths.

  ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.
  24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast
  down For the LORD upholds him with His hand.

• NKJ Isaiah 3021 Your ears shall hear a word
  behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in
  it," Whenever you turn to the right hand Or
  whenever you turn to the left.
• NKJ John 1027 "My sheep hear My voice, and I
  know them, and they follow Me.

• NKJ Psalm 8915 Blessed are the people who know
  the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light
  of Your countenance.

• NKJ Psalm 328 I will instruct you and teach you
  in the way you should go I will guide you with
  My eye.
• NKJ Psalm 119105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
  And a light to my path.

God Works in Us

• There is no place for self-striving or self-glory
  in the Kingdom of God

• It is God who inspires and empowers every
  righteous action
• NKJ Philippians 213 for it is God who works in
  you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
• NKJ Ezekiel 3627 "I will put My Spirit within
  you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you
  will keep My judgments and do them.
