- On 7th July 2007 4 bombers successfully detonated
4 devices killing 52 people and injuring over 700 - On the 21st July 2007 there was another attempted
bombing where a further 4 would be bombers
attempted to detonate devices on London transport.

- This set in motion a massive manhunt by the
Metropolitan Police to find the attempted
bombers. Known as Operation Theseus 2 - Vital information recovered from one of the un
detonated devices. - Hussain Osman identified as one of the fugitive
bombers, his address found to be 21 Scotia Road

surveillance officers of the Metropolitan Police - Jean Charles de Menenzes also resides at 21
Scotia Road.
5Time Line July 22nd
- 455 am command to set up surveillance on Scotia
Rd as covert intelligence gathering to see
whether suspects are at the residence - 600 am intelligence teams arrive and commence
surveillance - 933 am Menenzes leaves Scotia Rd walking past
the undercover surveillance teams on his way to
get on a bus. NO positive id - 939 am boards a bus to the train station and one
of the surveillance officers boards the bus with
him. NO positive id

- 946 am communication to Scotland Yard which
reads not identical male as above discounted.
Surveillance teams to withdraw to original
positions - 947 am Menenzes exits bus at Brixton tube which
is closed because of the bomb attempts the
previous day, so he gets back on the bus to go to
an alternate station. Notes from Scotland Yard
recorded at this time say they think its him and
hes acting very jumpy

- 950 Menenzes back on the bus. NO positive id
- 1000 am exits bus at Stockwell tube station.
Enters tube and the barriers followed by
surveillance officers - 1030 am pronounced dead
