third week of April, I will return your eight
page essay, and you may schedule an appointment
to see me to discuss it and your standing in the
course during my office hours is the best
choice. The conference is not mandatory.

synopsis for over a dozen short stories bring
your Story and Structure textbook and an open
mind. You will have to pick at least one story
by the end of class.

In-class essay (short story analysis) final
exam You will have from 1130
to 120. Bring some paper and a writing
utensil--leaded or unleaded-- for sketching ideas
and writing a first draft. All laptops welcome.
