Spy Buffers

• SVT boards contain memories associated to each
  input/output stream.
• Words flowing in or out of a board are copied
  continuously on the Spy Buffers.
• - Typical buffer length O(100K) words
• - Data overwritten when buffers are full
  
• Spy Buffer reading does not interfere with the
  event processing

• Access all Level 1 data
• Diagnose
• SVT hardware faults
• SVXII strips noise
• Wrong beam position
• Meant to
• validate data through hardware emulation
• collect statistics of occupancy
• check non-severe errors and count/display them
• use SVT track parameters to act as a beam monitor
