walker, assisted in completing the license

contacts in the medical field.
Economic / Social Benefit Supports the patien
t yet allows hip movement during therapy after
traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord
injury, and hip/knee replacement . Benefits
patients with severe arthritis, cerebral palsy,
multiple sclerosis, and Lou Gehrigs and
Parkinsons disease.

Overview ARC awarded DTI several SBIR contracts t
o develop its 3-D imaging technology. DTIs
displays are now used at ARC to visualize and
study fluid flows in scientific and engineering
studies. CTC Role CTC assisted DTI in establ
ishing relationships with NASA, facilitated
meetings, and assisted in contract negotiations.
Economic / Social Benefit As a result of SBIR
funding, the company succeeded in providing
specialty displays for NASA, and developing a
successful commercial product.

extraordinary scientific achievements of HST

initiative from inception to issuing of
collection. Economic / Social Benefit These
dramatic stamps brought to life the work of Edwin
Powell Hubble and the space telescope named in
his honor.

Overview Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI
) developed the worlds largest archive of survey
data from Hubble Space Telescope. ASP published
CD-Rom for research astronomers, and
amateurs/educators on CD-ROM.
CTC Role CTC/NJ developed a plan for distributi
on, authored T2 Policy for AURA, and assumed
responsibility for the T2 effort.
Economic / Social Benefit DSS provided a signif
icant contribution to the research astronomical
community, astronomy educators and students, and
amateur astronomers.

CTC Role Helped secure Phase I SBIR at ARC and

Benefit Carter Aviation technology is considered
the biggest break-thru in the rotorcraft
history. This has major commercial and military
applications.

, based on the JPL design, was a land-mobile
satellite antenna system that enabled direct
broadcast satellite (DBS) television aboard
moving vehicles. This technology is still being
used by KVH.
