CAROCP Constitution and By-Laws
  • Chapters
  • Chapters are formed to promote membership and the
    purpose of the CAROCP Association.
  • Chapters should have a Chapter Constitution and
    By-Laws or follow the State Associations.
  • Chapters must have a list of Chapter Officers
  • President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary,
  • Membership Chair, etc.
  • Chapter Officers must be paid members of CAROCP

  • Chapters
  • Chapter should calendar meetings and planned
    activities for the year.
  • At least two functions designed to promote the
    purpose of the Association, which may include
    in-service activities.
  • Chapter shall be entitled to elect a
    representative to the State Board for a one-year
    term commencing July 1. Your voice and vote
    counts!

State Responsibilities
  • As Chapter president
  • Attend all State CAROCP Board meetings (late
    September in Northern California, November in
    Rancho Mirage, January in Ontario, March in
    Sacramento, and June in San Diego)
  • Attend Chapter Presidents/Membership committee
    meeting
  • Prepare and submit chapter reports for inclusion
    in the Board minutes
  • Forward state e-mails to chapter board and
    members
  • Be familiar with current legislation and hot
    topics

Membership
  • Types of membership
  • Individual Classified non-management, teacher,
    counselor and
  • management personnel
  • Institutional Fee based on ROPs ADA
  • Business Businesses, apprenticeship sponsors,
    private post-secondary
  • and other agencies. Must be renewed annually.
    This is a great opportunity for your
  • business and industry partners, advisory
    committee members, and other community
  • organizations to show their support for what you
    do at NO COST to them!
  • Business Associate Individual from a business
  • Retired Persons who have retired may join the
    Association
  • (one time membership fee)

  • Annual membership dues are determined by the
    Association
  • (CAROCP) Board
  • Provides funding for the CAROCP Legislative
    Advocates to carry the message of ROP and its
    importance to state legislators.
  • Your voice is heard at the Capital!
  • Privileges
  • Right to Vote
  • Hold elective office or appointed position in the
    CAROCP organization

Chapter Membership Rebates
  • Chapters in good standing are eligible for a
    rebate of
  • 20 of all individual Association dues collected
    yearly
  • from chapter (July 1-June 30)
  • 15 of institutional dues collected
  • Rebate payments
  • Paid in two installments
  • Chapter officers must be paid members
  • Chapter sponsored at least two functions during
    the previous year.
  • At least 50 paid members
