7Boone is credited with settling Kentucky. He
spent years bringing settlers there. His home was

Kentucky. He was charged for a very serious crime
treason -because he had surrendered the fort at
Boonesborough to Indians without a fight. The
trial was called a court martial. He was found
not guilty, but the trial affected him deeply.
