3In this program you will be asked to use the
pointer feature to write things on the slide. To
use the pointer feature, right click on the
mouse, and go to Pointer Options and Felt Tip Pen
(leave the color red)
Then write on the slide to answer the question.
4For this project, the Sharer should be working
the computer, and the Measurer and the Checker
should be watching and giving their ideas. The
Checker should check each question to be certain
all three of you agree on an answer.
5Yum, yumon the next slide are some delicious
braided cookies. The three of you on your team
need to share them, and you need to be fair and
let each person have the same amount. Use the
pointer feature to draw rings around the number
of cookies each person will get. Remember, be
fair when you share.

7Pretend to eat your cookies, because now you have
even more cookies to share. These cookies are
gingerbread boy cookies. Use the pointer feature
to again draw around the cookies each person on
your team will get. Remember to be fair when you
share.

11Just as you start eating your cookies, your best
friend comes over to talk to you. Since you are
such good friends, you share your cookies with
your friend. On the next slide, use the pointer
feature and draw the number of cookies you have,
and then circle the number you will give to your
friend.
12Sharer, draw your cookies below. Then circle the
number you will give to your friend.
13How many cookies did you have? _____ How many did
you give to your friend? ___ Did you give your
friend half of the cookies you had? _____ If so,
you are a good friend. _______
14Hey, look hereplates of candy! Give each person
on your team some plates of candy. Remember to be
fair when you share.
15Here are three more of your friends. You share
your plates of candy with them. Sharer, using the
pointer feature, draw the number of plates each
person will get (your three friends and you).
16How many plates of candy were there to
begin?_______ How many plates did you each get?
_____ How many plates did you each get after your
friends came?___
17Your team had 12 plates of candy to share. Each
of you got 4 plates of candy. When your three
friends came, you each got one plate of candy. So
we can say you got 1/3 of the plates of candy to
start out. When your friends came, you got 1/4 of
1/3, which was one plate each.
18Thats what happens when you shareyour part gets
smaller. But thats okay, because it is fun to
share, especially in Partsville.
19Great job, students. Now click here for your
next task.
