What is a Heart Attack?
Occurs when the supply of blood and oxygen to an
area of heart muscle is blocked, usually by a
clot in a coronary artery.

Signs Of A Heart Attack
  • Chest Discomfort Pressure, fullness or
    squeezing pain
  • Discomfort in upper body arms, back, neck, jaw
    or abdomen
  • Shortness of breath
  • Other signs Light headedness, nausea and/or
    vomiting, or cold sweat

WARNING
Signs of heart attack may very from person to
person or even, heart attack to heart attack.
  • Women Talk
  • Women are as vulnerable as men.
  • Half of all heart attack deaths are women.
  • Women tend to delay seeking help because they
    often do not have classic symptoms.

Witnessing a Heart Attack
  • Grabbing chest, crushing chest pain
  • Sudden and intense discomfort
  • Mild symptoms that intensify slowly
  • Pain level can be relatively mild
  • Symptoms may come and go

    heart attack, call the Emergency medical
    personnel by dialing 9-1-1 right away.
