After implementation on LV-LT-BY border...

• in accordance with EU Water and Nitrate
  directives, LV and LT have complemented the
  measures in order to prevent water pollution
  caused by the agricultural activities
• biodiversity of Lake Drukiai is safeguarded and
  enhanced through conservation and sustainable
  management of the critical habitats and species
• integrated storm water management system in
  Lielupe river basin established, pollution of the
  river decreased
• 3 border region universities Daugavpils (LV),
  iauliai (LT) and Novopolotsk (NY) having
  crossborder environmental cooperation

• - Bauska (LV) and Birai (LT) districts having
  crossborder cooperation on nature and water
  resource management
• technical documentation prepared for
  reconstruction of water work systems in small
  settlements in iauliai, Jonikis (LT) and
  Jelgava (LV) districts
• Preili, Ludza (LV) and Zarasai (LT) hospitals
  providing high quality, round-the-clock, timely
  and precise diagnostic radiology services with
  the help of innovative teleradiology solutions
• sewage treatment facilities in Grodno (BY)
  constructed in order to reduce the amount of
  pollutants, which get into the common waters of
  the Nemunas river

• iauliai (LT) and Jelgava (LV) are commonly
  acting in the field of waste treatment in order
  to reduce the pollution of Venta-Lielupe
  catchment
• unified baywatching system in Saulkrasti,
  Jurmala, Liepaja (LV) and Klaipeda, Palanga,
  Neringa (LT)
• risk management pilot project implemented and
  cross-border co-operation, information exchange
  network and legal framework between institutions
  involved in risk management in Zemgale (LV) and
  iauliai (LT) regions established
• regional mechanism of joint response to
  emergencies in the transboundary area BY-LV-LT
  through joint trainings and exercises developed

• strong relations and knowledge exchange in
  cross-border mire habitat protection and
  management between EE and LV
• most important spawning areas, that affect the
  fish stock of Lake Peipsi, investigated and
  described comprehensive management plan for
  protection and sustainable use for these
  ecosystems prepared
• contacts between nature conservation experts
  working in three large wetland areas in Pskov
  oblast (RU) and Tartu counties (EE) established,
  resulting in an activity plan for common
  management issues

• influence of dam and turbines of Narva hydropower
  station to eel survival and reproduction
  assessed, cooperation between scientific
  intitutions, nature conservation institutions and
  local fishermen tight
• implementation of the Lake Peipsi/Chudskoe
  Transboundary Basin Water Management Programme
  has started
• waste management system in border districts of RU
  and LV developed, environment quality improved
• cooperation between nature management
  institutions and local municipalities of
  North-Livonia (EE, LV) as tool for sustainable
  social and economic development established

• new fresh and waste water collection and
  treatment systems constructed in Värska and
  Obinitsa (EE), new sewage water collection system
  in Pskov microdistrict (RU)
• energy saving and environmentally sustainable
  systems are used in providing public services in
  rural areas of Southern EE and Northern LV
• Karksi-Nuia (EE) and Ruijena (LV) town centrals
  and green areas jointly planned, common tourism
  product elaborated
• common strategic platform for the development of
  the Gulf of Riga region (EE, LV) created

• pack of technical documentation for improvement

• new Spatial Development Strategy for Eastern and
  North-Eastern LV and Western part of RU and large
