More can be done. While the majority of children
were fully ready for school in 2005/06, 33 of
kindergarten students in Allegany County needed
support to succeed in school. The County should
strive to meet the statewide target of 75 fully
ready by 2007 and not rest until 100 of its
children possess the skills and abilities needed
to succeed.
