Drop Off/Pick Up
  • Drop students off in the back of school and
    continue to either exit out Jimtown Road or
    circle the high school (Be careful not to cross
    the lanes of traffic.)

    lanes clear.

Grading Policy
  • At this point in your students academic career,
    grades become critically important.

  • Promotion Requirements (6 credits to be a
    sophomore)

Attendance
  • Absence 1 4 (per class) Excused with phone
    call and note from parent/guardian
  • Absence 5 8 (per class) Unexcused unless
    verified by doctor
  • Absences over 8 (per class) All absences
    (including excused) must be made up in equal time
  • Block Scheduling Makes a Difference!
  • Tardies
  • On 3rd unexcused tardy an after-school detention
    is assigned

GC Youth Services Center
  • A Referral source to community agencies
  • Works in collaboration with the Guidance office
    to provide student/family support
  • Student programs to promote involvement and
    connection to their community and school
  • Funding for the center is based on free/reduced
    lunch applicationseven if students/families
    choose not to participate in the lunch program
  • Can provide limited financial assistance to
    families- per state guidelines
