History

• Petsmart was founded in 1987 by a Delaware
  Corporation called Pacific Coast Distributing
  Incorporation. In 1988, the store was changed its
  named to Petsmart.
• The Pacific Coast Distributing Corporation opened
  their first stores in Phoenix, Arizona in 1987
• In 1999, Petsmart teamed with Idealab to
  establish an online retailing department

  falling.

  recently. Anthony Truesdale, senior vice

• In Lansing, Michigan, a township board in the
  Genesee County community voted to reject a
  proposal for a Pets-Hotel next to a store being
  developed by PetSmart. Voters claimed that the
