  • Never upload beginning balances
  • Never budget in the Adjusted period.
  • Use the upload flagged rows option when
    practical.
  • Copy actuals to forecast when forecasting the
    current year.
  • When pasting rows from one spreadsheet to another
    be sure to manually flag the pasted rows.
  • Remove all rows totaling 0 from ADI
    spreadsheet.
  • If you receive an error message in your upload,
    fix the rows with errors and only upload the
    fixed rows, or if you deleted rows with disabled
    Object Codes, flag any one row and upload.
  • You must use the ADI tool bar function Insert
    Budget Account to insert a row if your download
    includes both Budgets and Actuals.

  • The smaller your down load the faster it will be.
    Download separate sheets for funding sources and
    orgs.
  • Always communicate your transfers and budget them
    so they are balanced.
  • When forecasting, move budget amounts from Budget
    funding sources to Funding Source 000001. Be
    sure to zero out Budget funding sources.
  • When budgeting remember to use the correct
    allocation revenue Object Code with the correct
    Funding Source for revenue generation.
  • To balance each month, put a subtotal formula
    below the spreadsheet interface for each month.
    Insert subtotal formula before using filters.
  • Subtotal formula - subtotal(9,cellcell)
  • Use subtotal formula for revenues, expenses and
    transfers.
  • Always check Full Validation when uploading your
    spreadsheet.
