What it Takes to Transfer
  • Required Courses
  • Econ 102, 103
  • Econ 202, 203
  • Accy 201, 202
  • CS 105
  • One of the following math combinations
  • Math 234 and 125, or
  • Math 220/221 and 125, or
  • Math 220/221 and 230
  • All required courses must be taken for a grade.
  • AP course credit is accepted.
  • Econ 203, Accy 202, and Math 125 may be in
    progress when applying mid-semester.
  • Credit Hours
  • You must have 60 credit hours completed or in
    progress during the semester you are applying.
  • Preference is given to students with less than 90
    hours / 6 semesters completed by the end of the
    semester you are applying.
  • You are given a maximum of nine semesters total
    to complete your degree.
  • Grade Point Average
  • The minimum transfer GPA will be determined based
    on the qualifications of the applicants.

Prerequisites Notes
  • To take Accy 201, you must have completed Econ
    102 and have completed or be concurrently
    enrolled in Econ 103.
  • Accy 201/202 must both be taken either at UIUC or
    both at another college or university.
  • Econ 202 prerequisite Math 234 (or Math 220)
  • Stat 100 (or equivalent) will be accepted as a
    substitute for Econ 202 but will not prepare you
    as well for Econ 203.

  • Fin 221 (major restriction) pre req Math 234,
    credit or concurrent with Accy 202 Econ 203
  • Econ 302 prerequisite Econ 102, Math 234 125
    recommended
  • Spcm 101 (unless you took Spcm 111-112)
  • Language if not completed (4th level required)
