- Mr. Smith is President and Founder of Alexander
LAN, Inc. (founded 1991) which specializes in
automated system management and recovery software
for servers and desktops. He is also a founding
partner in Cyber SPK, LLC, a US Air Force defense
contractor developing Cyber Defense technology.
7Tyler Wang
- Eustace Tyler Wang, President and founder of
Computer Network Synoptic, has extensive
experience in Network Communication
and Information Security industry. He has
traveled well over 108 cities across U.S. and
overseas training users on LANÂ / WAN connectivity
and Information Security. Prior to founding
Computer Network Synoptic, He Consults for Xerox,
EDS, Hughes Aircraft, and Lucent Technologies.Â
He has recently performed Network
Vulnerability Assessment for MGM-Mirage
Corporation in Las Vegas and The Las Vegas Metro
Police Department. Eustace Tyler Wang
is a Certified System Engineer for Microsoft,
Novell, CheckPoint Firewalls and Sonicwall
Firewall.  Â
8Dan Lewis
- Dan Lewis has worked for Avaya and it's former
entities, Â Lucent Technologies ATT, for almost
10 years. His roles have included Territory
Manager, New Business Development Manager, and
Account Executive. Prior to working in the
Communications industry, Â he worked for a Novell
distributor in Carlsbad (Vitek/GBC Technologies),
providing Novell networking solutions training
to integrators throughout Northern California.Â
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from
Virginia Tech in Decision Support Systems and
currently resides in San Diego California.
9Teri Sanders
- Teri Sanders has worked as a storage consultant
in the Information Technology industry for 9
years, providing data backup and storage
solutions to IT professionals through a value
added reseller organization. She is currently
employed with Stonefly Networks in San Diego
marketing cost-effective data protection and
management solutions based on IP SANs for
departments, workgroups and mid-tier
organizations through the StoneFly Business
Advantage solutions suite.
10Ross Chevalier
- Mr. Chevalier is Chief Technology Officer and CIO
of Novell Canada Ltd. Mr. Chevalier has been in
the networking and professional services
industries for over twenty years in a variety of
positions. Prior to joining Novell, Mr.
Chevalier worked with large scale systems
integrators in various senior management roles.
Mr. Chevalier is an oft quoted industry authority
on a variety of information services topics
including Identity Management, Linux and Open
Source and Operational Effectiveness. Mr.
Chevalier writes a regular public column entitled
"What I See - a CTO's Rant". In his private
life, Mr. Chevalier enjoys motorcycling, teaching
and collecting guitars.

expenses, Calpines Communication Engineering
team developed and implemented a Wide Area
Network (WAN) Optimization project that slashed
operating costs by 75, saving several million
dollars per year. This communication network is
used 24x7x365 to help Calpine generate, deliver
and liquidate its megawatts of electricity.
Therefore, the cost reductions could not
compromise network performance, availability or
reliability. Using forethought, creativity, and
innovation, the team was not only successful in
doing this, but they boosted network performance
by 250!
30The Corporate Small Business Winner is
31Bob Kraus
- Bob was nominated for the successful planning,
organization and implementation of a roll out of
Windows XP to the WIS Â proprietary inventory PCs.
 This was accomplished with minimum disruption to
our critical core business. Â It included
implementation of an integrated PC software
recovery process using the Ghost product this
program allows the field in place recovery of the
current PC build. Â This saves shipping and repair
time formerly used to fix software only problems.
 Bob coordinated this effort with the over 130
WIS field offices with over 700 inventory
machines. Â

33Kenneth A Poorman
- Kenneth A Poorman is the Head of the College of
Information Science and Technology for the San
Diego Campus of the University of Phoenix. As
such he is responsible for the quality in the
classroom. He maintains the high level of
quality by the hiring and selection of additions
to the faculty, continual review of faculty
performance and when necessary additional
training and or motivation to current faculty to
remain outstanding.
34The Independent Network Contractor Winner is
35Laura A. Chappell
- In 2005, Ms. Chappell announced and presented the
first train-the-leader course on Internet Safety
for Children. Through this program, PAI hopes to
raise awareness of internet-based threats,
predator tactics and protective steps to
audiences who will deliver the provided
information on a local and regional basis. For
