What is FedRooms?

• FedRooms is the official government-wide,
  government-sponsored lodging program, in support
  of the Presidents Management Agenda simplifying
  the lodging process for federal travelers and
  saving the government money
• FedRooms negotiates hotel rates on behalf of the
  federal government in markets where government
  travelers need to stay
  
• FedRooms is the
• US Government hotel program.

Why does FedRooms exist?

• The federal government (including the Department
  of Defense) spends more than 2 billion on
  lodging every year.
  
• FedRooms leverages overall buying power to
  negotiate the best hotel rates on behalf of the
  federal government.

Why would a property become suspended?

• FedRooms rate is higher then other rate intended
  for government travelers
  
• FedRooms rates not loaded
• Hotel is not reporting or remitting
• FedRooms rate higher than contracted
• Loaded higher then agreement
• Upgraded room types loaded over per diem
• Other terms conditions issues
• Incorrect cancellation policy
• No early departure fee
• Suspension not corrected within 30 days may
  result in removal from the FedRooms program
  requiring a 400 administrative fee for
  re-acceptance

What do I need to know about reporting
remittance?

• Due monthly unless
• Your hotel group is reporting remitting
  centrally
  
• Check with your national chain representative
• Easy reporting form available on fedrooms.com
• Fill out form
• Check verification form for accuracy
• Submit with email confirmation checked
• Receive email invoice which can be used for
  remittance
  
• Late reporting will result in late fees
