Historical Events Of Parliment

• June 6, 1859 Queen Victoria allowed Queensland to
  enter Australia as a new colony.
• December 10, 1859 Sir George Ferguson Bowen
  became the first governor of Queensland.
• May 20, 1860 26 Members were elected to the
  Legislative Assembly and 15 members were elected
  to the Legislative Council (First fully
  constitued legislature).
• 1880 The building of the Parliament House was
  completed.
