Partnership Track

Pepsi Champions Experience! Narrative A unique
multi-city sports and entertainment program, the
PCE! would offer fun and excitement along with an
important goal, the discovery of Indias first
generation of potential gold medal winners. The
total PCE! would promote the Pepsi sports and
nutrition message to millions of youngsters.
Kicking off with a nationwide press conference
featuring sports icons, entertainers, government
spokespersons, Pepsi and IMGB executives, these
weekend events would headline Indias new
national sports development initiative on behalf
of the nations youth. Press conference would
also announce the formation of the Pepsi Young
Champions Foundation, a not-for-profit
organization dedicated to providing scholarships
and support for rural sports athletic
development.

Pepsi Champions Experience! Narrative
(cont.) The two day Pepsi Champions Experience
would take place in approximately a dozen key
markets, with approximately ten thousand to
fifteen youthful participants (per market),
pre-selected by their schools, based on
exceptional athletic promise. Saturday
activities would feature sports clinics and fun
competitions to be hosted by national and
internationally known coaches and sports legends
in several key sports including Cricket, Tennis,
Field Hockey, Golf, and Soccer among others.
Demonstrations would feature IMGs award winning
sports development training methodology.
Saturday night would feature an exciting
entertainment event such as a rock concert or
unique extravaganza with Pepsi Bollywood
stars. The program would extend through Sunday
with additional participants. Central to the
event would be Pepsicos traveling Sports
Nutrition Center designed to offer valuable
information on sports nutrition and sample Pepsi
food and beverage products.

  • As part of the Champions Experience! PepsiCo will
    have the opportunity to co-brand a multiplicity

    boys and girls.

  • Celebration of Young Champions Evenings
  • PepsiCo, in concert with IMGB, would host a
    series of dinners in key Indian markets to honor
    Indias current and future young sports
    champions. The events would be positioned to
    raise funds for local school-based programs and
    sports equipment and would operate concurrently
    with the Pepsi Champions Experience! weekend
    festivals.
  • PepsiCo would be given the opportunity to host
    a series of Pepsi Presents high profile
    celebrity dinner/fundraisers. Guests would
    include community and sports heroes past and
    present along with PepsiCo and IMGB
    spokespersons.
  • Event would feature a hi-touch, hi-tech video
    presentation on the current and future state of
    sports in India, appropriately branded and
    identified with PepsiCo health and wellness
    messages.
  • This series of events would launch the Pepsi
    Young Champions Foundation to support school
    based athletic programs.
  • Young Champions Evenings would offer PepsiCo
    the opportunity to reach out to millions of
    children in surrounding schools in the
    community by providing funding, sports
  • equipment and branded PepsiCo products.

Program An ongoing promotional platform would
support the program, which would include the
Pepsi Champions Experience! Festival, Evenings
and the Coaches/nutrition outreach program.
The promotion would offer boys and girls the
opportunity to participate in the exciting Pepsi
Champions Experience! weekends through various
product purchase and sweepstakes offerings.
Pepsi Champions Experience! sweepstakes would
offer lucky winners the opportunity to become
Young Champions Ambassadors (Ride with the Tour)
and travel to international sporting events, win
sports memorabilia and play alongside sports
icons. The in-school component would build
visibility for Pepsi throughout Indias public
school system. Additionally Pepsi would be
featured in Reality based television special
portraying Pepsi Champions Experience!
highlights, based on a media partnership with one
of the leading channels.

IMGB Media Support Advertising and PR IMGB
will continue its communications campaign with
the launch in 05 of a major paid advertising
campaign. The advertising will be complemented by
public relations support and a program of
special-event related promotions. It is
estimated that the value of these IMGB
underwritten programs will be approximately
1,000,000 (U.S.) PepsiCo identification would
be included in IMGB print, television, direct
mail and special event-related communications. Ad
vertising would be complemented by Public
Relations support including press conferences,
media announcements, spokesperson interviews and
news bureau activities targeted to continue the
massive visibility IMGB has enjoyed throughout
India, Asia and the United States.

Gateway to Excellence Champions Experience
Center Pepsi Sports Nutrition Center
  • Gateway To Excellence will open in 06 and
    feature an interactive sports experience for the
    thousands of young people, high profile athletes,
    and other visitors who will tour through it
  • The Gateway will feature a version of the
    eventual Pepsi Sports Nutrition Center,
    equipped to showcase a full array of Pepsis
    leading edge food and beverage products and
    sports nutrition information/initiatives.
  • Destined to become a major tourist magnet in
    India, this state-of-the-art architecturally
    forward structure will be a microcosm of the
    IMGB Academies sports and leisure complex.
  • The 20,000 sq ft building will feature
    interactive athletic exhibits, a sports champions
    hall of fame gallery and futuristic sports
    technologies. Its design will be both fun,
    educational and designed to build anticipation
    for the IMGB program.
  • The Gateway will also feature a select display
    of Pepsis sports
  • related programs both in India and throughout
    the world.
