What is a black box?

• Flight Data recorder is also known as black box,
  which is used to record the voices in a flight
• It is mounted in the tail section of an aircraft
• It is made of hard steel or titanium covering
  insulated to protect against crashes
• It can withstand high temperatures for hours

Jet aircraft emission

• The exhaust from jet engine is due to water
  vapour condensation and it is known as contrails.
• It condenses as droplets and further as tiny ice
  crystals, which appear to us like white smoke
• The contrails occurs at 500 degree Celsius

• It can take off and land on water with little or
  no wave action.
• It faces trouble in extreme weather
• It is also known seaplane

• Here, fuselage act as ship hull which helps to
  land on water
