from coal and hydroelectric power generation to
nuclear energy. June 2005 DPRK announces work
on building 290 medium- and small-size
hydropower plants in Chagang Province. Many

success has been the land rezoning program. We
have included and rezoned the entire agricultural
system, in the whole country. We are
constructing new irrigation systems and. ground
leveling. We have now completed the
Kaechon-Taesong and Paekma- Cholsan waterways.
These are natural-flow waterways, with no
electrical support needed.
