Jupiter
  • Is the largest planet in the solar system
  • A thin ring surrounds Jupiter
  • It has at least 16 known moons

Jupiter and its moon.

Saturn
  • Has at least 18 named moons.
  • Saturns rings are made up of dust, ice crystals,
    and small bits of rock coated with frozen water.
  • Saturns atmosphere has cloud-to-cloud
    lightning.
  • Saturns rings cause shadows on Saturn when the
    sun shines on the rings at the right angle (as
    shown below).

Neptune
  • Uranus has at least 15 moons and faint rings.
  • It spins on it side
  • Uranus is the most distant planet you can see
    with the naked eye.
  • Neptune has has at least 8 moons and a faint
    ring.
  • It also has circular storms, but none of them
    lasted as long as the Great Red Spot on Jupiter

  • Plutos axis is tilted to almost sideways, like
    Uranus
  • Plutos one moon orbits Pluto in unison to
    Pluto's rotation.
  • Pluto, unlike the the other outer planets, which
    have gas, is rocky and cold.
