• MyTunes is the latest talent show that is soon to
  be reaching your screens. Your job is to guide
  a bunch of young hopefuls and help organise the
  show.

Band Image Logo

• Learning Objective
• Today you will learn how to create a public image
  for a band and design a suitable logo

• Outcomes
• Decide what type of music your band will play
• Search the Internet to help with ideas on
  creating an image (print screen album covers
  paste into word)
• Choose a name for your band
• Design a suitable logo for the band using word,
  paint or fireworks

Band Image

• Your first step is to decide what type of music
  your band play and the do some research on an
  image and style
• Use Google images to search for logos and visit a
  few websites of bands that you know to get an
  idea of what colours and style to go for
• Collect some screenshots of the album covers you
  think would suit your band style. (press print
  screen and then paste into word)

The Logo

• A band's logo is very important. It gives a first
  impression of what the band are about and is used
  on loads of things such as album covers, t-shirts
  and band documents.
• Before designing the logo for your band you need
  to consider
• Different shapes
• Colours
• Will you use lots of text or just the initials of
  your band?
• Will text be horizontal, vertical or at and
  angle?
• Will you use a border on your logo ?
• Take a look at these examples.
