Task 1

• In pairs. Using bbc.co.uk/celebdaq and the
  internet spend 10 minutes searching for this
  weeks celebrity stories that are related to the
  areas of life that we think should be kept
  private - record this on your worksheet.

Discuss as a whole class

• ? Why do these stories exist?
• ? Who is interested in them?
• ? Do we want to know about celebritys private
  lives?

• Everyone has the 'Right to respect for private
  and family life' in the Human Rights Act 1998.
• ? Do celebrities have the same rights as other
  people?

• Think of a set of rules the journalists and
  photographers should adhere to.
• Think of rules that would ensure responsible
  behaviour and protect the rights of everyone in
  the media.
