• It is cheaper to build a larger turbine than a
  smaller one
• The Department of Energy forecasts a 600
  increase in wind-energy use in the nation in the
  next 15 years
• In 1990, California's wind power plants offset
  the emission of more than 2.5 billion pounds of
  carbon dioxide, and 15 million pounds of other
  pollutants. It would take a forest of 90 million
  to 175 million trees to provide the same air
  quality

Observations

• There is a lot of wind in Dayton!
• Attempting to just get by with a wind turbine to
  generate hydrogen is not particularly feasible
• Majority of the costs in the accessory equipment
  rather than turbine itself
• More modeling and lobbying needs to be done
