Pre-CAPT/CAPT Activities
  • All ninth grade students will take a Pre-CAPT.
  • All tenth graders must take the State CAPT .
  • Eleventh graders who did not reach proficiency
    in reading, writing and /or math, must also
    retake the sections that they have not yet
    reached proficiency.
  • Twelfth graders who did not yet reached
    proficiency will
  • take the alternative CAPT, which is
    offered several
  • times during their senior year.
  • All students must reach proficiency in reading
    and
  • writing in order to graduate from East
    Windsor High
  • School.

Summer Reading
  • Honor level students will be given a list of
    books which support their course work for summer
    reading. Their assessment (for example, a book
    report) will include CAPT- like activities.
  • All other level students will be given an
    opportunity to read and share a summer reading
    book of their choice with their English class in
    September.
