Goals

• To review the expectations for Conferencing and
  Small Group Instruction.
• To learn who and how to get a conference.

Procedures

• Each day the teacher will conference with
  different students in the class.
• You will need to bring your Assessment Notebook
  to each conference to record or add information
  in the Assessment section of your Notebook.

• During each conference/small group instruction
• You will be taught a specific strategy and
  practice the strategy with your teacher.
• You may
• read aloud for the teacher
• complete an assessment
• demonstrate use of the strategy

• How do I get a conference or become a part of
  small-group instruction?

• Each student will conference regularly with the
  teacher.
• Each student will work in one, or many
  instructional small-group.

Procedures

• After each conference/ or group session

• Record all of your work and copies of your
  assessments in your Notebook.
• During Independent Reading, continue to practice
  the strategies that you have learned.
