Research Groups
  • Those working on S. pneumoniae or generating data
    on S. pneumoniae as a consequence of other
    research in the EAR.
  • Contribute data on type of research and results
    arising, even if crude, for distribution through
    netSPEAR. (eg. specific studies on outpatient ARI
    etc).
  • Possible technical assistance to routine
    surveillance (eg. quality monitoring)
  • Attendance at annual network meetings and receipt
    of netSPEAR output.

Memorandum of Understanding
  • netSPEAR is honest about what it can provide and
    offer.
  • Hospitals critically assess their capacity and
    suggest what they can achieve.
  • netSPEAR and a hospital work to agreed goals and
    measure degree to which these are achieved.
  • Inability to meet goals despite all reasonable
    efforts may mean a partnership with a particular
    hospital is dissolved resources are re-located
    elsewhere.
