The Athletic Training Facility Philosophy

• Uses of the facility Provide emergency and
  rehabilitation care for employees of this
  company.
• Placement of the facilityon the front half of
  the middle of the first floor.
• Facility AccessThe entry doors and treatment
  room doors are wide enough to permit wheelchairs
  and emergency equipment

The Athletic Training Facility Philosophy

• Operational HoursSince industrial facilities
  have a 24 hour work rate, hours for the training
  room will be 6 a.m. 3 p.m. M/W/F, and 10 a.m.
  8 p.m. T/TR to accommodate for the day shift
  and night shift. If more care is needed,
  appointments can be made for Saturday or Sunday
  treatments.

Special Construction Needs

• Electrical we placed electrical outlets every 4
  ft. within our facility to accommodate for
  exercise equipment, TVs, and modalities. We also
  placed a GFI in the Whirlpool room.
• Plumbing We had sinks put in both treatment
  rooms, and the doctors room. In both dressing
  rooms there are 3 showers, 3 toilets, and 2
  sinks. In the whirlpool room there is a whirlpool
  with an appropriate drainage system.

Special Construction Needs

• Communication In the waiting room, we have two
  phones, a computer, and a fax. In the doctors
  room, we have a phone.
• Ventilation
• Flooring The facility is carpeted except for the
  Whirlpool Room which has 1 inch, nonslip tile.

• Ceiling Type and Height Ceiling is made of
  fiberglass drop panels for sound absorption. The
  ceiling is 10 feet high to accommodate for rehab
  activity.

• Lighting The front wall of the facility is
  windows, allowing natural light to come in. The
  treatment rooms and doctors room is especially
  considered to allow for 100 foot-candles of light
  from the treatment table.

Disability Needs

• All facility doors are designed wide enough to
  permit passage of all potential users.
• There is one handicapped restroom, sink, and
  shower in both the mens and women's dressing
  rooms.
• There are lowered paper towel dispensers in
  restrooms.
• There are flashing alarm lights installed.
• There is a paper cup dispenser installed by water
  fountain.
