Our History and our Services
  • The Company was incorporated in 2001 and opened
    its first office in Falls Church, Virginia in
    February 2002. A second office was opened in
    Round Rock, Texas in 2003.
  • We are a Professional Services company
    specializing in Program Management, IT Support,
    Administrative, and Logistics to government and
    DoD customers.

Company Policies
  • Personnel are encouraged to discuss any
    work-related issue directly and promptly with
    their manager. Company managers will be very
    helpful to any employee by providing support,
    encouragement, and challenging assignments for
    their personal growth and success. The company
    has an open door policy to give personnel
    complete freedom to involve a higher level of
    management, without fear of reprisal. Although
    it is not required, courtesy normally dictates a
    discussion with the immediate supervisor before
    invoking the open door policy to a higher manager.

  • Consistent with Skyline respect for the rights
    and dignity of each employee and in accordance
    with federal, state and local laws, harassment
    based on race, color, religion, and mental
    disability, or any other characteristic protected
    by law will not be physical and mental disability
    or any other characteristic protected by law,
    will not be sanctioned or tolerated. This policy
    covers conduct in the workplace and at social and
    business functions sponsored by the Company.

Time Reporting and Recording Time Worked
  • All employees are required to read, understand,
    and become familiar with the time and expense
    policy.
  • All employees are expected to fully comply with
    this policy.
  • Diligence in accurately recording hours worked is
    a critical component as a government contractor.

Policy for Salaried Employees
  • Salaried employees are required to fulfill the
    responsibilities of their position. This
    recording requirement does not prevent the
    supervisor from inquiring about scheduling or
    assuring that the employee is meeting the
    expectations of the position either from an
    attendance or productivity perspective.

Pay Dates
  • Pay checks
  • electronically deposited the eighth and
    twenty-third day of the month unless those dates
    fall on a non-banking day. 
  • In that event, pay will be deposited the
    following business banking day.
  • You can view the pay periods, hours per pay
    period and Pay Dates on the Employees page of the
    Skyline website. Click on the Pay Activity and
    Travel Reimbursement dates.

Vacation
  • First Year. No Hours Available (May request
    paid absences as an exception)
  • 1st Anniversary Date vacation is earned
    (normally 80) on the first anniversary based upon
    the number of hours paid during the first year
    and then hours immediately begin accruing per pay
    period at 0.038462 hours for each hour paid
  • 4th Anniversary Date (after 4 years of current
    employment) accrue 0.057692 per hour (120 hours
    maximum earned annually)
  • 10th Anniversary (after 10 years of current
    employment) accrue 0.076923 hours per hour (160
    hours maximum earned annually)

Federal Holidays
  • The general rule is that if the government and
    banks are closed, it will be a paid company
    holiday
  • Refer to Personnel Handbook for list of Holidays.
  • Note For employees working in the company
    offices,
  • Columbus Day is not a holiday.

Sick Time
  • First Year. No Hours Available. (Request paid
    absences as exception)
  • At the first anniversary date, earned time
    (normally 80 hours) is based upon the number of
    hours paid during the first year and then hours
    begin accruing per pay period at 0.015385 hours
    for each hour paid (32 hours maximum annually)

Basic Standard of Conduct
  • While it is preferable to keep rules and
    regulations to a minimum, there are some which
    are necessary for efficient operation in our
    attempt to provide rewarding and personal growth
    opportunities for all personnel and to provide
    top quality services to our customers. Examples
    of conduct not permitted can be found in the
    Personnel Handbook. Although not exhaustive,
    they illustrate types of conduct that are not in
    the best interest of the company, its employees,
    or customers.

Dress Code
  • It is the policy that each employees dress,
    grooming, and personal hygiene should be
    appropriate to the business environment.
    Employees are expected at all time to present a
    business like image to customers, prospects, and
    the public. Hair should be cleaned combed and
    neatly trimmed. Employees are expected to dress
    in a manner that is normally acceptable in their
    business establishments. Friday in some
    establishments is Casual Day. Casual clothing
    generally is less formal than professional
    clothing, but casual clothing also is neat and
    clean.
