• Cheaper to use than Private Sector Facilities
• Anyone can use them
• E.g. Libraries, Swimming Pools, Playing Fields,
  Sports Centres, etc.
• Private Leisure Facilities
• Provided/owned by local firms or individuals
• Run as a business to make money
• People who use them pay for membership more
  expensive than public sector facilities
• E.g. Fitness Clubs, Racket Centres, etc.

• Local Authorities aim to encourage a wide range
  of different groups to use their facilities, e.g.
• Elderly
• Active Retired Groups
• People with Disabilities
• Mothers Toddlers
• Ethnic Minority Groups
• Unemployed
