A little about me....

• Name Jason Johns
• Age all Ill say is early 30s ?
• Married to Honi no kids (of our own), who is
  also a teacher
• Job Year 6/7 Teacher at Nazareth Catholic
  College
• Hobbies Volleyball, cycling, gardening
• Pets Fish (lots of different varieties), 2
  lovebirds and 1 dog (Jack Russell)
• In my spare time I spare time, now theres a
  laugh

My work
As I have mentioned, I work at Nazareth Catholic
College as a year 6/7 teacher. This college is a
new college, which is the result of 4 smaller
schools joining together. I have been a part of
this college and its forebears for about 10
years. During that time I have worked as
Computing Teacher, Network Manager, Technician,
class teacher, dogsbody and anything else I get
volunteered for. Previously I have worked in
other Catholic schools in IT type roles, as well
as a teacher-librarian. I also used to work as a
classroom teacher for DECS.

Why am I here?
I feel that I am at a stage where I want to
refresh and improve my skills and I feel that
doing formal study (such as this, which is a part
of my Grad Cert) was the way to go. Besides that,
who needs spare time?

• During my undergraduate days at Magill, my
  nickname was JJ the laptop barfly
• I am not related to Daniel Johns from
  Silverchair
• Have worked for Australia Post as a postal
  worker, which to me was not a stressful job
• Find the question of when are you having kids?
  rather annoying
• I spend a lot of time online, and so far I have
  resisted the temptation to E-Bay anything
• Always asked technical favours, even by
  strangers
• Find Google to be one of the best resources ever
