- Academic Dual Credit courses are accepted by all
public colleges and universities, and most
private out-of-state institutions, to which
Navarro students transfer, as part of their core
curriculum. - Academic Dual Credit courses can be applied to
- AA degree (Associate of Arts)
- AS degree (Associate of Science)
- AAT degree (Associate of Arts in Teaching)
- BA degree (Bachelor of Arts)
- BS degree (Bachelor of Science)

Testing Temporary Waiver 10th Grade TAKS
scores ELA 2200 w/3 subscore and Math 2200
Testing Exemption 11th Grade TAKS scores
ELA 2200 w/3 subscore and Math 2200 (or) ACT
Composite score of 23 w/minimum 19 in English
Math (or) SAT Combined critical reading math
score of 1070 w/minimum of 500 in both sections
(or) A required state approved placement test.
Placement tests are offered at all Navarro
College campuses

17Dual Credit Enrollment Limits
- Each student can take no more than two courses
per semester. - Exception to the rule
- Student must have principals approval, college
approval and a strong academic record to exceed
two courses per semester.

- Students can receive college credit as well as
high school credit. - After graduating from high school, a student can
begin his or her college career with experience. - It saves time by allowing students to graduate
from college sooner. - It saves money by completing the courses at a two
year school. - College credit on a resume helps students stand
out. - Students entering the military may be eligible
for promotion and pay raises. - Career Technical courses can verify work skills.
