  • Increase craving and consumption of advertised
    foods
  • Attempts to influence food purchases
  • Impacts motor coordination, balance, and general
    level of fitness

  • 83 of advertisements are convenience/fast foods
    and sweets comprised
  • Snack time eating depicted more than mealtime
    eating
  • Effects more detrimental to children. Can slow
    cognitive and intellectual development, decrease
    left side brain functions, decrease personal
    interactions with others and social development,
    and sense of reality and reasoning

  • Plan and stick to a family meal time
  • Research and prepare a nutritional meal involve
    family/others if possible
  • Smart grocery shopping
  • Dont go when hungry
