Membership Eligibility
  • Minimum eligibility is 3.0 GPA after 12 or more
    hours of associate degree credit
  • Final eligibility standards are set by the
    chapter if higher standards are desired
  • Part-time students are eligible
  • A student does not have to complete a degree, or
    even be planning on getting a degree

  • Certificate students may be eligible if at least
    12 hours of credit could be applied to an
    associate degree
  • International students are eligible
  • Transfer credit allowance is a chapter-by-chapter
    call
  • High School students are eligible if theyve
    earned at least 12 hours of credit with the
    minimum GPA

Membership Eligibility
  • Graduates are eligible for membership if they
    continue taking classes that can be applied to an
    associate degree
  • A Grade Forgiveness policy is effective for
    grades over 5 years old
  • Provisional membership is allowed. For those
    awaiting full eligibility (cannot vote, hold
    office, or represent chapters, may not wear the
    key)
  • Honorary Memberships are allowed and encouraged

Pinnacle Awards Program
  • Given to chapters that have increased membership
    (based on calendar year)
  • Bronze Chapter increase of at least one member
    over last year
  • Certificate presented at a Regional Meeting
  • Silver Chapter increase of 10 or more, or
    induction of 90 of eligible students
  • 100 stipend to be used for chapter scholarships.

    meeting, special ribbons will be worn on chapter
    members' International Convention Name Badges
  • Gold Chapter increase of 10 or more, or
