Why do kids join gangs?
12
  • Many young people have formed or joined gangs in
order to belong to something greater than
    themselves.
  • This has been encouraged over the last few years
by the media, i.e. gangsta rap music and
    movies.
  • Lack of strong, positive, male role models has
also helped to create this problem.
