Policies on Academic Standards
  • Academic Standards for CSTME 5 year, combined
    bachelor/master degree program
  • Freshman Sophomore Year In State Tuition Paid
  • Must Maintain 3.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average
  • 3 Additional Years Tuition for Educator Track
    (Must teach in NJ for 3 years upon graduation)
  • Scholarship Consideration for Scientist Track

    Drexel Program is NOT a scholarship program)
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 a minimum
    cumulative GPA of 3.5 in all biology, chemistry,
    physics and math courses, with no individual
    grade of less than a C in any course
  • Achieve GPA grade requirements without
    repeating or withdrawing from any courses
  • Take all prerequisite courses at Kean University
  • All program requirements and other graduation
    requirements of Kean University must be completed
    in a timely manner
  • Take MCAT no later than April 30 of junior year
    of college
  • Score in a single examination a total minimum
    score of 31 (with no individual sub-section
    score less than 8)
  • MCAT score of 9 or better in the critical
    reading section
  • MCAT score of 10s or better in the physical
    biological sciences sections

  • Submit a Kean University undergraduate admission
    application
  • Submit a NJCSTME supplemental application on or
    before March 1st
  • Official High School transcript with minimum high
    school G.P.A. 3.0
  • SAT score test results
  • Combined minimum SAT math verbal score of 1100
    (550 in math subsection)
  • Letter of recommendation from a science /or
    mathematics teacher
  • Demonstrated interest in science math (thru at
    least precalculus) taken yearly in high school
  • Personal interview may be required
  • Application for Drexel BS/MD Scholar Program ?
    Due on or before Dec 8, 2009
  • Permanent resident or USA citizen
  • Graduation from a U.S. high school with minimum
    high school GPA of 3.5
  • Satisfactorily passed (or in progress) the high
    school prerequisite courses
  • 4 years Math 4 years English 3 years Science
    (biology, chemistry, physics)
  • Combined minimum SAT math/critical reading score
    of 1270 (subset scores no less than 560)
  • Demonstrated interest in science and medicine
  • Interviews upon request of the Biomedicine
    Selection Committee
