Turn the button to 1 in the back of the machine
When warming up the spectrophotometer, there

use enough sample so the light can pass through
Wipe cuvette with a kimwipe to remove fingerprints
5Place cuvettes into the spectrophotometer
- There are 6 places put your blank in the space
closest to you. - Put the other samples in the next spaces.
6Go to first screen and select photometricand
then enter
7Then, enter your wavelengths
- Enter the number of wavelengths that you will use
and the numbers of those wavelengths
8Press sample control (F4)
- Enter the number of samples you have
- Make sure the blank says yes
- Then return to this screen by pressing previous
screen
9Go to the next screen by pressing F5
10The screen with the different wavelengths should
come up
11You should get readings close to zero for the
first sample which is the blank
12Press read to get absorbance values for your
sample
If the cuvettes do not shift automatically,
adjust the cell number to read the different
samples
13Record your values or press print to get a
printout
- If you have more than 5 samples, you will need to
repeat the process - Turn off the machine
