Air Pressure Testing
The air tightness of new properties has required
mandatory testing in England, Wales and Northern
Ireland since 2006. Similar regulations came into
force in Scotland in 2010 - the initial
regulations set in England, Wales and Northern
Ireland were also revised in 2010. The
regulations state that builders and developers
must have a sample of new builds tested on any
new housing or property development.

Sound Insulation Testing
Sound Insulation Testing often referred to as
acoustic insulation or acoustic testing is
designed to ascertain how well insulated certain
building elements in a property are, so that the
amount of noise is not at an unacceptable level
to neighbours adjoining the property being
tested. This ensures a good quality of life for
those living in both properties and that the
building also complies with Part E of the
Building Regulations.

Ventilation Testing
At UK Building Compliance we have a large team of
engineers, all of whom are BINDT accredited and
who use UKAS calibrated equipment. The engineers
are able to visit any property in the UK and we
will also provide advice prior to the test, to
ensure that the necessary requirements are met.
All we will need to complete the job are your SAP
calculations, ventilation details, plans and
occupant schedule.

Room Integrity Testing
Room integrity testing should be carried out on
all rooms protected by gaseous fire suppression
systems. The test will ascertain whether the room
will contain the gas, much in the same way an air
tightness test works. If you do not get a room
integrity test completed, you run the risk of
having an unsafe system in place.
