Deborah Hunter-Harvill is the CEO of
Hunter-Harvill Educational Associates, Inc., a

educational environment and instilling

charter. She also serves as an academic advisor
for districts, charters, and institutions and
National, State, and Local presenter.

Before working full-time at Hunter-Harvill
Educational Associates, Inc., Deborah
Hunter-Harvill was the Superintendent at Buena
Vista Schools (2012 2013) and Westwood Heights
Schools (2008 2011). She was also the
Principal at Detroit Public Schools from 2000 to
2008. As the Principal, she set many goals that
helped the school improve its overall annual
academic result. During this time period of
eight years, she taught students to be goal
oriented increased student achievement and
parental involvement revitalized middle school
programs and improved student success by
introducing supplemental instruction program
both Before and After schools courses. In
addition to all this, she also took care of
division/site management and campus improvements.

Prior to being appointed as the Principal at
Detroit Public Schools, was the School
Director of Curriculum and Business Development
at Charter school, Advantage schools for one
year. And before this, she was the Senior
Director of School Reform, Detroit Public
Schools/ Annenberg Project, from 1997 to 1999.

Throughout her professional journey, Dr. Harvill
has garnered respect and appreciation from her
colleagues, students, and their parents. On
many occasions, she has given school uniforms and
coats to students, who were improperly dressed
for the winter weather. It is actually in her
character to care as well as respect the dignity
and worth of others. Besides being an educator,
Deborah Hunter-Harvill is an author and has
co-authored a number of journal articles and
research papers on various subjects. Besides
that, she is also a national presenter on
educational issues and best practices for
children.
