2Introduction The Institute of Public
Administration was founded by Royal Decree no. 93
of 10.4.1961, as a body-corporate, autonomous
government agency. The purposes - To increase
the efficiency of public employees and educate
them. - To contribute to the administrative
organization of government departments. - To
offer consultations on administrative problems -
To undertake administrative research works.

5General Training Programs (In-service Training)
These programs are designed to meet the training
needs and improve the efficiency of middle-level
executives through providing them with the
required knowledge, skills, and positive
behavioral trends.
6Center for Leadership Development The aim of
the center is to promote and develop top
administrative leadership at government
agencies. The Programs of the center includes
seminars, symposia, and round tables. The
center collaborates with the World Bank, The
International Monetary Fund, Kennedy School of
Government at Harvard, and the International
Institute of Administrative Sciences in their
programs.
7- Preparatory Programs/Associate Degree programs
(Pre-service) - The goal of these programs is to qualify high
school graduates for specific jobs in government
or privet sector. - These programs includes Banking, Marketing,
Executive Secretary, Hospital Administration,
Accounting, and Material Management.
8- Preparatory Programs/Graduate Certificate
(Pre-service) - These programs are for university graduates.
- University graduates can choose to study Legal
Studies, Marketing, Accounting, Finance and
Investment, and Finical Control.
9- Special Training Programs (In-Service)
- These programs are designed to meet the training
needs of government organizations whose interests
are not included in the general training
programs.
10- Consultation
- The IPA offers consultation services to
government agencies to help them in - Construction and Development of organizational
structures. - Simplification of work procedures.
- Distribution of the workforce.
- Providing computer applications to enhance to
work procedures.
11Regional and International Reach IPA
consultation services have crossed the borders
and extended their reach through the region. The
IPA has provides 42 international consultation
such as a consultation for the Secretariat of the
Arab League and The Secretariat for GCC.
12 Documentation Archiving The goal of
administrative documentation is to collect and
organize government administrative documents and
acquire official publication of local, regional,
and international organizations. A New
archiving system Numo ??? is used to allow
users to access the documents easily.

- The Research Center seeks to be internationally
recognized as pioneer in research. - The objectives of Research Center are
- Publish and spread advanced knowledge in the
field of public administration. - Transfer global knowledge by translating books
and articles. - Support writing and publication of academic
research.
15Government Performance Measurement Center . The
center was established in 2008 The goal of the
center is establish indicators to measure
government agencies performance.
16Business Center The center strives to
provide both the public and the private sectors
with high-quality training, consultation, and
research services in a unique way that meet their
expectations and guarantee their satisfaction.
17English Language Center The programs in the
English Language Center aim to develop the
English skills of the civil service employees,
and employees who are placed to study
abroad. Students admitted to preparatory
programs must successfully pass a on?e year
intensive English program.

conducted several researches, and translated many
books and articles. Consultations There were
60 consultation provided for 44 different
government organization. The total number of
consultations since the Consultation Dept. was
established is 2292.

28 IPA is a member is many international
associations. IPA is a board member at the
International Institute of Administrative
Sciences in Brussels. IPA faculty always
participates in international conferences
seminars. IPA has many collaboration agreements
and MOUs with several organizations such as The
American Management Association (AMA), French
National School of Administration (ENA), King
Saud University, and International Institute of
Administrative Sciences.
