Tasso Island is usually visited as part of a day
trip also including Bunce, but its worth
staying overnight to support the conservation
efforts of the Tasso Ecotourism Project, running
a rescue program for Timneh Grey Parrots, a bird
that was once common all around Freetown and
later almost disappeared.
