Discuss
  • Are learning objects without context
    usable/reusable?
  • How can I repurpose material for my own use
  • Subject specific or generic- which is better?

15
What do you mean, collaborate?
  • Build partnerships with others in same subject
    (e.g. IVIMEDS)
  • Dont waste time reinventing- your students will
appreciate you more than the materials
  • Helps play to your strengths as well as others

16
How can I share?
  • Nationally
  • Upload to a repository
  • Locally
  • Collaborations with local HEIs
  • Partner FE colleges
  • In my institution
  • Course teams
  • Cross- subject collaboration

Things to consider?
  • What is my strategy for developing materials?
  • Do we need to review the curriculum development
programme in our department to take account of
    all this?
  • Is collaboration possible?
  • Who can help me?
