The area of the park is 150,86 km² . The most
characteristic animal living in the Park is
European beaver, numerous in lakes and rivers.
10About experiment
- Our main task was to specify basic phisical and
chemical properties of surface waters. For this
purpose we took water samples from the Narew
river and its tributarie Awissa, Szeroka Struga,
Kowale and several times in different seasons.
Basing on educational kit we specified pH,
hardness, and concentration of nitrate nitrogen,
nitrite nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and
phosphorates.
11Hypotheses
- The influence of water level on physical and
chemical factors - The influence of seasons on physical and chemical
properties of water
12Area of research
- Narew north-east Poland, a tributary of the
Vistula river. With a length of 484 kilometres
(36 in Belarus and 448 in Poland) it is the fifth
longest Polish river.

29Conclusion
- Analysis of results from spring and autumn 2007
shows us - a decrease in nitrogen ions concentration
- a increase in phosphorus ions concentration
- small changes in pH
- unchanged colour and smell of water
- The resaults optained differ slightly from the
previous one. The methods used for this test are
not very accurate, and this may result in slight
differences.
