• FRUGT-KVARTER means fruit break
• A subscription scheme - like the Danish school
  milk

Aims of the Project

• Investigate how the project work in practice?

• Measure the effect on childrens intake of FV
• Ensure sustainability of the project

Barriers

• Only 2 out of 41 schools wanted to participate
• Problems perceived by
• Too much work
• Too much garbage
• Too little time
• Too many health project in school settings
• Not their responsibility
• Not all parents can afford it gt social inequity
• It is the parents responsibility

Results from the Pilot

• FV subscription scheme works in practice
• Hard work to motivate schools and parents
• Higher subscription among the younger kids
• Not as complicated as expected
• Benefits from existing school milk distribution
• Product quality, price and variation is important

Effect on ChildrensFV Intake

• Fruit intake increased (0.4 pieces per day)
• Fruit intake increased in non-subscribers (0.3
  pieces/day)
• Increased focus on fv at intervention schools
