November Kindergarten News
Please be sure to send a healthy snack for your
child. Healthy snacks include fruit, crackers,
cheese, pretzels . . . Please do not send
cookies, chips, candy, sweets.
We are working very hard to become great readers
and writers! We enjoyed learning about memoirs
and sharing our own memories through our writing.
We are looking forward to discussing
Thanksgiving holiday traditions.

What we are learning this month . . . Reading
Fairy Tales identify characters, setting,
problem, and solution in a story, sequence of
events, retelling, making predictions Writing
writing from top to bottom, left to right, using
spaces between words, using punctuation, adding
to a story, rereading to double check Science
Landforms/Rocks Social Studies Customs and
Traditions Math Patterns describing,
extending, constructing, and recording repeating
patterns Phonics beginning and ending sounds
Homework begins this month! Homework will
reinforce what we are learning at school and
should take 10-15 minutes each evening. Homework
notebooks will come home next week.
